george carlin nails it

George Carlin on who really owns this country. Caution - If you know anything about Carlin you know he uses a lot of profanity.

I don't usually post anything with profanity but Carlin really nails it.

Listening to this monologue is like my brain talking to myself most times these days.

We've been sucked in and now we're being slowly sucked under... one day at a time, one marketing ad at a time, one newscast at a time, one trip to Wal-mart at a time, one trip to the gas pump at a time, one "you're either with me or against me" bullshit at a time, one credit card at a time, one "soccer practice" at a time, one cell phone/text messaging addiction at a time, one" I'm too busy running around" to notice anything's wrong at a time, one overly huge house at a time, one "granite counter top" at a time, one "stainless steel appliances" at a time -- one marketed strategy at a time. . .

The problem-
What Carlin is talking about is so big and so obvious, yet at the same time it's somehow so subliminal that most people don't notice. That's the scary part. Most people are living an oblivious life style. There's just enough consumerist "success" in there pathetic lives that they don't notice the big picture. . . AND because they are supposedly "successful" and "living right" because they have all of the "things" they want, they don't really give a damn about anybody else!
